Parade to Honor George W. Bush

I have recently been thinking about the Obama administration and the overall apathy of many Americans regarding the previous Bush administration.  Despite all of their war crimes & crimes against humanity, Bush & Company seem to enjoy flying under the radar of the Justice Department while they guest appear on talk shows, fundraisers and get lauded as heroic patriots at the World Series and Superbowl.

Bill Clinton was impeached and yet the Bush administration triumphantly receives the benefits of a free “Stay out of jail card.”  Some in foreign countries such as Spain & Switzerland are filing suits against Bush and his cohorts, but America  has declined in her duties to bring the guilty to justice.  In an excerpt from chapter 8 in Forrest Redd’s, Blood on Their Hands, Jason Peel sums it up nicely, “If you close your eyes to avoid seeing the things that are bad, then you can pretend they aren’t really there.”

Perhaps we should take a cue from Joe Buck during the Superbowl when he drooled all over himself in esteem while announcing that George W. Bush was in the house.  Maybe we should conduct a parade this spring honoring the entire Bush administration while Karl Rove & others on the Right try to re-write history.  No…on second thought, let’s hope that Bush & Company are watching next year’s Superbowl from a federal pen!
